He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was INCORRECT (Louisa Mescander), who he married on 24 FEB 1867 in Incorrect date and spouse!. They had no known children.

His second wife was Agnethia "Agatha" Everson Roland, who he married in 1883 in Marshfield, Wood, WI. Their three known children were Alma Inga (1887-1949), Beulah C. (1888-1959) and James Roland (1899-1961).
