His wife was Lydia Evans, who he married on 03 AUG 1809 in Highland Cnty, OH. Their eight known children were Joseph Ambrose (1810-1885), Levi (1812-1895), William (1814-?), John A. (1816-1886), Nancy Jane (?-?), Lydia Ann (?-?), Sallie (?-?) and Eliza L (1832-?).
